Chiropractors and Physiotherapists have the ability to provide an appropriate treatment plan to complement the patient’s complaints. Welcome to Ortho Rehab Group! We are a multi disciplinary physical rehabilitation facility located in Brampton, Ontario. Staffed with fully registered and licensed Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, and Massage Therapists, our team is well versed in both pre and post operative care and sports related injuries as well as WSIB and MVA claims.

Nafisa Ally

Administrative Manager

has  been with Ortho Rehab Group since 2016 and has taken over management of the clinic in 2020. She has extensive knowledge in the area of motor vehicle accidents and SABS. Nafisa has used this knowledge to prepare multiple clinics for FSCO audits. She graduated with honours from the University of Toronto with a double major in biology and psychology and a double minor in science education  and chemistry. Her main studies focused on neuropsychology. In her last year of studies, she was nominated to present at a national professors gala. Her paper was selected to be presented to professors which focused on incorporating virtual reality programs in to the curriculum for medical students. She currently has two published pieces and is working on her third.

Outside of the clinic Nafisa enjoys spending time with her family, hosting events, cooking, baking, and writing. Nafisa also has a passion for motorcycles, fitness and the great outdoors.

Dr. Shelly Kansal

Chiropractor

She currently works part-time at ortho rehab group since July 2020. 

She graduated with Honors Bachelors of Human Biology from the University of Toronto and from there she attended the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago.  She graduated four years later with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.

The techniques she uses include diversified, myofascial release, turner cranial adjusting technique, k-taping, full body pre and post rehabilitation, as well as non-surgical rehabilitation.  She improves quality of life using conservative treatments for all musculoskeletal ailments from babies to the elderly. “…get busy living or get busy dying…”

She enjoys fashion, pina coladas on the beach, good conversation, good food and music.  C’est la vie!!!

Ranju Sathis Kumar

 Physiotherapist

completed her Bachelor’s degree of Physical therapy in 2000 from Dr, MGR medical university, India. She has more than 15 years of experiences in a variety of settings including acute care, outpatient care, private and residential long term care facilities. She has been working in Canada as a registered physiotherapist since 2017. She enjoys taking a collaborative, hands-on approach with her patients to see the changes physiotherapy can bring to their lives. Also she loves the overall healthy lifestyle that physiotherapy promotes and the dynamic practice environment.
Her role is to assess and implement physiotherapy interventions to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain or prevent physical dysfunction in patients, and to  document initial exam, evaluate data to identify problems and determine diagnosis prior to interventions. Her certifications include manual therapy with specialisation in the Mulligan concept, Vestibular Rehabilitation and K taping.

Outside of the clinic, Ranju enjoys spending her time with her family and friends and enjoys swimming and playing badminton.

Sandeep Kaur

Physiotherapist

Sandeep Kaur is a Registered Physiotherapist who did her graduation in Bachelors of Physiotherapy in 2011 from India. After graduation, She worked in the reputed Fortis Hospital for 4 years as OPD and IPD manager treating Musculoskeletal conditions as well as providing critical care rehab.
At Ortho Rehab Group, she specializes in Mulligans and Mckenzie techniques, Myofascial Release Techniques and Rehabilitation for Orthopaedic conditions, MVA’s, post-operative and Post fracture cases. She also specializes in Concussion and Vestibular Rehab.

In her free time, she enjoys Spending time with family and friends, Music, Art and Astronomy.

Ian Louw

Massage Therapist

has always had a passion for health and wellness and a dedication to helping people achieve physical and emotional wellness.  Since graduating in 2006, Ian has primarily worked in multi-disciplinary clinics, and has always thrived in a team environment helping to meet the individual needs of his patients.
Ian’s main treatment types include myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue release, joint mobilizations and deep relaxation.  Using these and other relevant techniques, Ian uses his strong base of understanding and knowledge of the body, to create individualized treatment plans that meet the needs of each patient.
Treatments range from specific work on chronic areas and injuries, to full body muscle, tension and stress reduction.  Ian welcomes patients who are post mva, post-surgical, or any individual seeking to achieve or maintain a healthy body.

Outside of the clinic Ian enjoys exercise, yoga, playing the piano and spends most of his time with his newborn son.

 

Aimee Cruz

Administrative Support Staff

studied Physiotherapy Assistant at Everest College, and has several years of experience working in a rehabilitation setting working both in clinical and administrative roles. Aimee joined Ortho Rehab Group in October 2018 and has now taken on the role of Assistant Manager.

Outside of work, Aimee enjoys spending time with her 3-year-old son and husband, and trying out new restaurants. Whenever she gets time away from work, she also enjoys travelling and would love to visit Maldives and Thailand one day!

Andrea Moran

Administrative Support Staff

is a York University alumni with an Honours Bachelor of Health Studies (BHS). Andrea started working in a rehabilitation setting in 2019, and as of July 2020 has been a part of the Ortho Rehab Group’s team as an Administrative Assistant. Outside of work Andrea enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.
She speaks English and Spanish.

Sharmila Gobin

Administrative Support Staff

studied Physiotherapy Assistant at CDI College and Business Administration Marketing at Sheridan and has several years of experience working in a rehabilitation setting.  She has worked in clinical, administrative, and management  roles in physiotherapy clinics and a women’s gym. Sharmila joined Ortho Rehab Group in 2020 and is part of the front desk admin team.

Outside of work, Sharmila enjoys, music, movies, anime, and video games.

Ravneet Kaur

Physiotherapist

Graduated as physiotherapist after completing Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, India in 2007 and Masters of Physiotherapy from Punjabi University, India in 2014. Has experience of working for five years in India as physiotherapist in a private hospital with orthopedic surgeons treating patients’ post joint replacement and arthroscopic repair, fractures, trauma/motor vehicle accidents and also with chronic pain and arthritis. Currently I’m registered with Ontario College of Physiotherapist and member of Canadian Association of Physiotherapy since 2019. I’m also certified in Acupuncture, Concussion management and Vestibular Rehabilitation. My treatment approach is patient centered, meaningful and goal oriented which aims to improve patient’s functional independence and quality of life. It includes combination of manual therapy, acupuncture, myofascial release, exercise prescription, modalities and education. Outside work, I love spending time with family, trying new recipes, art and going for a walk.
